Digerati
Some people have blogrolls, my pal Chris Brogan has what he calls “Rockstars“. I decided to call my list of favourite bloggers, vlogggers and podcasters the “digerati”.
Digerati? Here is the definition from Wikipedia: “The digerati are the elite of the computer industry and online communities.
The word is used in several related but different ways. It can mean:
- Opinion leaders who, through their writings, promote a vision of digital technology and the Internet as a transformational element in society;
- Anyone regarded as influential within the digital technology community.”
Very appropriate for the people I enjoy reading, so without any further fanfare here are my digerati, NOT in any particular order:
- Chris Brogan - social media evangelist, founder of Podcamp and all round nice guy.
- Jeremiah Owyang - Web Strategist, SF Bay Area- single handedly responsible for an explosion of new twitter friends

If our paths cross and I like what you write in your blog, show on your vlog or tell me on your podcast I’ll be adding you to this list.
Non-Digital Digerati
I guess this list could be like that old 7Up slogan - the “uncola” these are my favourite non-digital digerati. Their writing inspires me and I hope if you read them you will be inspired too.
