Use Sitemaps to get your site crawled

Sitemaps have only been around for a couple of years. If your site doesn’t have a sitemap, it would benefit from having one. Having a sitemap doesn’t guarantee that your website will achieve any rank. A sitemap will make your site easier to crawl for the search engines. The sitemap is just one small part of a holistic online marketing campaign.
Every site should have a sitemap, but a sitemap is beneficial when:
- You have a new website with just a few links in it
- Your website has dynamic content
- If you use Flash extensively on your site
- You have an older site that has a lot of pages and the internal linking structure is weak
- Your site is not easily crawlable due to other factors
