Tips for new Twitter users

Dave Fleet has an excellent post today on Tips for New Twitter Users.
Some of Dave’s suggestions are to:
- Start slowly
- Follow the ‘right’ people
- Don’t spam
- Interact with others
- Post substantial messages
- Do more than just self-promote
- Set-up searches for relevant topics
- Make the most of the tools available
These are great tips not only for newbies but also a gentle nudge/reminder for old timer/power users. If I can paraphrase Chris Brogan, it’s a conversation, don’t monopolize it.
