Daily SEO Tip – ALT Tags

Some SEOs will lead you to believe that you should stuff keywords into your ALT tags. Unfortunately they are WRONG.
Don’t use your keyword phrase in ALT text.
None of the search engines consider ALT text when determining relevancy.
Use every tag for the purpose in which is was specifically designed to be used by the W3C. ALT text should be used to describe images. Putting keywords in the the ALT tag to try and influence even a marginal advantage is a waste of time. Don’t do it.
