Daily SEO Tip
A while back I started practicing SEO again on my own sites and various others. I’m still in the process of building my SEO Consulting business and newmediamike.com is now the blog associated with my SEO business. So, I will be providing daily SEO tips in written and sometimes video form.
Today’s tip.
Relevancy.
Insure that your title tag, your description meta tag, your keywords tags, your primary (h1) header and your content are all relevant to each other.
A good example is my VHS to DVD transfer page on Videozine.
Here is what the head content looks like for that page:
{title}VHS to DVD Transfers in Toronto 416-456-6359{/title}
{meta name=”keywords” content=”VHS to DVD transfer,home movies to DVD,tape to DVD”}
{meta name=”description” content=”VHS to DVD transfer service service in Toronto. Convert those old VHS tapes to DVD.”}
The H1 tag for this page is also relevant as is the content.
This way when a spider looks at this page and compares all the elements, they can only come to one conclusion, the page is about VHS to DVD Transfers.
Relevancy – it is important in SEO.
