Part of my duties at Creative Post is to clean up our old database. We have over 25,000 entries in this database so it is a daunting task.
Today I came across a quote my predecessor made back in 1997 for 100 BLANK CD-R with silk screen printed face labels.
Here is how the quote broke down:
4 Colour Silk screens - $100 each = $400
Print each disc - $475
Blank CD-R to be printed on - $995
Total for 100 BLANK CD-R? $1,870 plus tax
Today we’d do thermal print CD-R and they look better and cost $209 for the 100. From $18.70 per disc down to $2.09 per disc.
