I first heard about MoFuse from SheGeek, a new blog I’ve been reading . SheGeek created a mobile version of their site and when I saw how it easy it was I decided to give it a go myself.   It’s that early adopter - gotta have the latest toys thing in me!

Free Service

Making my newmediaMike mobile site with MoFuse was quick, easy, and relatively painless. Oh and did I mention it was free? With a free account, the mobile version of your site is hosted on MoFuse so unfortunately you cannot really pick your own URL, but if you have a unique blogging name, then you should have no problem picking your own URL. Your site is formatted for the average mobile phone and the iPhone, and includes keyboard shortcuts.

Here are some of the other features MoFuse offers for the free accounts:

  • Ability to monetize your new mobile site using AdSense or AdMobi - 50% of revenues
  • Track stats for your mobile site
  • Customize the look, add your logo, edit the homepage
  • Add a comment widget for mobile visitors

Other Features

You can always upgrade the site to a Pro account, which gives you the first month free, ability to use your own domain name, unlimited mobile sites, 100 % of monetization and a few other minor features for only $3 US per month.

Remember I said it was relatively painless? This is where the pain came in. They accept PayPal, but as my PayPal account is currently screwed up (changed email addresses, forgot old password, it’s a huge mess) I’ll be sticking with the Free site for now, but hey … free is good!
