The Domain Gods must like me

Last week I blogged about scoring the domain - mikeallan.com (which BTW I have pointed to this blog).

This past weekend I was looking at ways of increasing my SEO side business. Right now I am marketing it under the Videozine banner. I haven’t had many nibbles and I’m wondering if it’s because I’ve been marketing it as a sideline to the VHS to DVD video transfer business.  I try to explain to people how I developed a six step program that has resulted in successful SERP results, but it is still a sideline.

I have had some success already getting a half decent rank for the Videozine site for the search term “SEO Services in Toronto” - (#9 on Google as of this writing).  OK, maybe I’m being modest, Top 10 for a localized SEO term in under three months is phenomenal. But my patting myself on the back digresses me from my point.

VHS to DVD transfers just aren’t bringing in money any more, so I’m switching gears to concentrate on landing SEO gigs. I’m not in the “keywords in the main URL” kind of guy, but I really wanted a new URL with my keywords in it to see if that would help in getting more SEO work.  So I did a search for SEOServicesToronto.com.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when it came up as available! Unreal!

Fortunately for me with my web host 1&1 it’s an easy matter of searching and securing the name. So within 15 minutes of this decision I was the proud owner of SEOServicesToronto.com.

The site isn’t live yet. I’ll post a notice here, on Twitter and on Facebook when it is live. In the meantime if anyone needs some SEO work done, I’m proven, successful and available!
