Facebook is really starting to get on my nerves

I am getting totally fed up with all of these g#d@mn applications on Facebook.

I’ve already given up trying to get rid of any extra walls, and now I am getting totally fed up with the apps too. Every single app forces me to invite 10 - 20 people before I can do anything with it.

That is crap! Plain and simple - CRAP.

And the layout of the apps is deceitful, all of the various submit buttons, you have to pay close attention to which one you are clicking or you will end up adding another annoying application.

So I am sending this out to my 92 friends - if you send me an application to be your Valentine, or compare birthdays or see how fabulous I am or any other ridiculous application, I will turn it down. Sorry, but I am no longer playing the application game on Facebook.

I won’t give up Facebook, as it has brought me back in touch with some old friends and family, I’m just not going to play that damn application game anymore.

Oh and to Larissa who left a snarky comment on my blog last week about “How does it feel to be a 40+ male on Facebook?”-I used Facebook’s new feature where I can divide my friends into lists. I set up a special list just for my 40 + friends - and guess what? Over half my Facebook friends are over 40, so it doesn’t bother me at all to be a 40+ male on Facebook. It shows I am still in touch with current technology, and therefore doing my job as a new media consultant.

After this I may need to add “rant” to my categories!
